Job Purpose
We require an experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide immediate specialist capacity for a Local Authority. To ensure robust commercial management, and maintain delivery of their transport capital programme within budget and timescales during a period of peak demand and no in-house resource.
The role involves working closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to control costs, manage risks, and support the successful delivery of highway infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Working Arrangements - Must be onsite in Coventry 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of highway and transportation projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, assess contractor payments, manage procurement processes, and ensure value for money throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Experience of delivering highway infrastructure projects.
